Grade Center

The Blackboard Grade Center allows you to manually or automatically (via Blackboard Assignments, Tests, Graded Discussion Forums, Blogs, Wikis, or Journals) record student grades for course work. Grades posted in the Grade Center are immediately accessible to students through My Grades in the Tools section of your course or from the student's Blackboard login tab; each student can only see his or her own grades.

The Grade Center provides options for weighting grades, totaling grades, and dropping the lowest score in a series of items, averaging items, or displaying the minimum or maximum grade in a series of Grade Center columns.. Exporting the Grade Center to Excel allows for more extensive grading calculations, e.g, item analysis.

The Blackboard Grade Center does not take the place of, nor does it interface with, LOCUS, Loyola’s official grade entry system. Even if you maintain a Blackboard Grade Center, you must still submit student grades to the university through LOCUS.
