M.A. in Medical Sciences

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Medical Sciences degree program focuses on the development of intellectual skills and mastery of scientific concepts needed to succeed in medical school. Students admitted to the M.A. in Medical Sciences program will pursue graduate study in medical cell biology and biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, neurobiology, and genetics and development. This intensive, full-time course-based program is completed in one year. |
Graduates of our MAMS program have a higher than average rate of acceptance into medical school programs. About 92% of the Class of 2004-2005, and 87% of the Class of 2005-2006, are now in medical school. Welcome from the Biology Chair and MAMS Program Director.

NOTE, our final deadline for admitted applicants to accept their admission and enroll in the program is July 15th. However, the huge increase in numbers of applications to this program each year lead us to strongly encourage highly qualified applicants to complete their applications well prior to our May 15th Scholarship Priority Consideration Deadline.
