Criminal Justice

The BA in Management with a concentration Criminal Justice is comprised of 120 credit hours: 30 credit hours in the major, 12 credit hours in SCPS requirements 24 hours in Criminal Justice concentration, 48 credit hours of University Core Requirements and 6 credit hours of Electives.

I. Management Major (30 hours)

• COMM 237 Small Group Communication (3 credits)

• COMM 273 Interpersonal Communication (3 credits)

• ECON 201 Principles of Microeconomics (3 credits)

• ECON 202 Principles of Macroeconomics (3 credits)

• CPST 247 Computer Concepts and Applications (3 credits)

• CPST 250 Foundations of Organizations (3 credits)

• CPST 310 Accounting Principles and Applications (3 credits)

• CPST 340 Marketing Concepts and Strategies (3 credits)

• CPST 349 Project Management (3 credits)

• CPST 350 Human Resource Principles and Practices (3 credits)

II. SCPS School requirements (9 credits)

The following communication and writing courses are required of all students:

• COMM 101 Public Speaking (3 credits)
• COMM 150 Communication Processes (3 credits)
• ENGL 310 Business and Professional Writing (3 credits)

As of Fall 2011, all Communication courses have moved from the CMUN prefix to COMM. Course numbers have also been adjusted but content has not. For more information, go to the School of Communication's webpage.

III. Criminal Justice Concentration (24 credits)
