Earn Credit for Prior Learning
Not all learning takes place inside a classroom, and Loyola's School of Continuing and Professional Studies understands this. Adult students, in particular, often have a reservoir of professional learning and accomplishments they can bring to Loyola's degree completion programs.
Loyola offers our students several options to earn credit for professional life experiences that qualify as college-level learning. Participating in our Prior Learning Assessment program can provide substantial savings of time and tuition for students as well as a personal sense of accomplishment for past achievements.
There are several ways that admitted students can participate in our Prior Learning Assessment program: portfolio assessment, credit through examination, ACE evaluation, and transfer credit. To learn more about these options and how SCPS honors your learning experiences while helping you meet your educational and career goals, visit our Credit for Experienced-based Learning page.
