Loyola University Chicago

Division of Student Development

About the Division

The Division seeks to enhance the intellectual, social, and spiritual growth of every student through a variety of student-oriented programming and events.

For the past several years, Loyola has made major investments in the Loyola Student Experience, through five stages. The first three phases—which include the construction of the new Norville Center for Intercollegiate Athletics, the renovation of Gentile Center renovation and the completion of the Damen Student Center—are complete.

Phase 4, the renewal of the Halas Sports Center, a workout facility used by students and the campus community, is expected to be completed in 2014. The 20,000-square-foot renovation will add or upgrade: group exercise and dance studio, cardio room, group cycling/spinning, strength-training room and weight room.

The final phase of Reimagine will focus on Centennial Forum as Loyola's face on Sheridan Road. The renovation will be home to a new Wellness Center, a bookstore, a volleyball court, Student Development offices, as well as retail spaces.
