Review the updated Community Standards

Loyola Students,

Every year, the Community Standards, which contain the Student Code of Conduct, are updated with input from students, staff, and faculty. These Standards apply to all students (undergraduate, graduate, professional, and other) and are the minimum expectations for behavior.

Notable changes to this year's standards include:

  • Restriction of e-cigarettes under the smoking policy (202(22))
  • Changes to who may serve as an advisor in the conduct process (406(1))
  • Slight updates to definitions, policies, and procedures pertaining to gender-based misconduct including dating, domestic violence, sexual misconduct, and stalking, to ensure compliance with upcoming changes in federal law (409)

All students have the responsibility to familiarize themselves with these Standards, as they will be held accountable to them.

Sincerely,
