Featured in the recent JTE were Teaching and Learning faculty Dr. Amy Heineke, Dr. Ann Marie Ryan and Dr. Charlie Tocci. The three co-authored Teaching, Learning, and Leading: Preparing Teachers as Education Policy Actors, an article that focuses on the use of field-based teacher education to support policy-related learning and development.

  • Last Opportunity for Superintendent Endorsement under Old ISBE Rules

    ISBE will soon be requiring more courses and a longer internship to obtain a Superintendent Endorsement. Don’t get caught short and miss out on the limited-time opportunity to obtain the endorsement under the old rules. All applications for the January 2016 cohort must be completed by November 1, 2015. All applications for the final August 2016 cohort must be completed by July 1, 2016.
  • 2015 Distinguished Service Award: Janell Hutcherson

    This award seeks to recognize, encourage, and reward outstanding service to the School of Education of Loyola University Chicago. This award is designed to recognize the extraordinary contributions of our faculty and staff in forwarding the School of Education’s mission to advance professional education in service of social justice, engaged with Chicago, the nation, and the world. This year’s award is given posthumously to Janell Hutcherson, Program Coordinator for Teaching & Learning who passed on January 18, 2015.

    This annual award seeks to recognize, encourage, and reward outstanding teaching within the School of Education of Loyola University Chicago.
