The Department of Classical Studies celebrated its graduates and recognized several outstanding students at the Department Honors Convocation on April 29.

Joe Goodkin's *Odyssey*, an original composition for guitar that captures the spirit of Homer's epic poem, was performed Monday April 13 in Galvin Auditorium in the Sullivan Center.

Beware the Ides of March!

On April 18, Loyola Latin students performed "Exitium Caesaris," a play about the death of Caesar -- COMPLETELY IN LATIN!!

Congratulations to our new Eta Sigma Phi members!

Loyola's Iota Sigma chapter of Eta Sigma Phi welcomed nine new members on February 23, chosen for their achievements in the study of Latin or ancient Greek.

Classical Studies Alumnus awarded grant from the Archaeological Institute of America

Classical Studies students go on to do exciting things in a variety of fields. Justin Leidwanger's interest in the economic history of the ancient world led him to underwater archaeology in Sicily.
